False: 6 — Using premium fuel is better for your car

Higher-octane fuel doesn’t mean higher performance—unless your car specifically requires it. For most vehicles, using premium gas won’t boost power or improve fuel economy enough to justify the extra cost.

Check your owner’s manual. If it says regular unleaded is fine, stick with that. Only performance or turbocharged engines truly need premium. Using higher-octane fuel in a regular engine just wastes money without providing any real benefit.
