6. 335 Series “Cleveland” V-8s (1969–1982)

Big valves, better breathing, and serious rev potential—the Cleveland engines had one job: go fast.

You might know the Boss 302, a Frankenstein mashup of a Windsor block and Cleveland heads. It screamed at high RPMs and gave the Camaro Z/28 a serious headache.

While the 351M and 400 weren’t as loved at the time, today they’re hot for stroker builds—especially Down Under, where Aussie Ford fans still swear by them.
Why it matters: Gave Ford small-blocks serious performance cred.
