Tuthilltown Spirits, the makers of Hudson Baby Bourbon Whiskey, proudly claimed their bourbon was aged while loud music played, supposedly “agitating” the liquid and enhancing its flavor. Sadly, the music couldn’t mask the flood of bad reviews this bourbon earned. Today, it’s known as one of the worst-tasting bourbons out there.

Far from being a clever gimmick, the musical aging failed to deliver. On the nose, the bourbon smells very young and harsh. Drinkers have described its flavor as bitter coffee, acne cleaner, and burnt mushrooms.

The only good news? Hudson Baby Bourbon has been discontinued. Still, bottles can be found online for around $40—a steep price for a hugely disappointing whiskey. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your money on this one.
