Chainsaw Showdown: From Regret to Reliable – Ranked from Worst to Best

#16. Senix – Looks Good, Works… Sometimes

Regret Rating: ★★☆☆☆

Senix chainsaws have the right specs on paper—gas, electric, brushless motor, etc. But in real life, they’re kind of a gamble. You might get a decent saw. Or you might spend your Saturday yanking the pull cord while muttering curses under your breath.
It’s one of those “seemed like a good deal at the time” purchases. Until it bogs down halfway through a log.

What goes wrong:

  • Tough to start, especially when warm
  • Fuel runs out faster than you'd expect
  • Build quality feels hit or miss
