Brake Check Ahead!

A “brake check” on the radio means: Slow down, there’s traffic up ahead. Truckers need more stopping distance than regular cars, so getting the heads-up is super helpful.
FYI: An 18-wheeler going 65 mph needs over 500 feet to come to a full stop. Compare that to a car’s 300-ish feet. So yeah, those warnings are life savers.
