EverStart is Walmart’s in-house brand. It’s cheap and easy to find, but don’t expect miracles. The Value line is as basic as it gets—just enough juice to get you moving, but low cold cranking amps and only a 1-year warranty.

The Maxx version is a better deal, offering a decent 3-year warranty, especially handy if you live near a Walmart with an Auto Center. That said, even their AGM version gets outclassed by competitors at the same price point. If you're looking for the cheapest fix, EverStart might do the trick—but it’s not built for the long haul.
