Top Strollers to Avoid: Safety Risks Every Parent Should Know About

1.iCandy Peach 7

Price: $2599
CHOICE Expert Rating: 32%
Passed our key safety tests: No

Despite being one of the most expensive strollers in our tests, even pricier than high-end brands like Bugaboo, Joolz, and Stokke, the iCandy Peach 7 did not pass our safety tests, nor did it meet the mandatory safety standard during our lab testing.

For this kind of money, you'd expect a stroller that exceeds safety expectations. Unfortunately, the iCandy Peach 7 received the lowest score overall in our test of 60 strollers.
Our expert testers found that the stroller's straps present a strangulation risk---the shoulder and waist straps don't automatically separate when the buckle is pressed, and they're difficult to separate manually. This creates a loop that could potentially strangle a child.

Additionally, when the stroller is fully reclined, it poses a head entrapment hazard and increases the risk of falling. This means a young baby could get hurt by either falling out or getting their head caught in the stroller's hood, which are serious safety concerns.

iCandy Responds⬇

iCandy disagrees with our findings and says, "The iCandy Peach has been extensively tested both internally and by independent labs worldwide, and there have been no reported issues of test failures or non-compliance."

They also claim that the seat angle of the stroller doesn't recline enough for the head entrapment and fall test to be relevant. However, CHOICE stands by its results and still advises caution with this model.
