Top Strollers to Avoid: Safety Risks Every Parent Should Know About
4.Babyzen Yoyo2

Passed our key safety tests: No
The Babyzen Yoyo2 is a very popular lightweight stroller, especially among parents who travel or need a stroller for everyday use.
At just 6.5kg, it's one of the lightest models we tested. However, when we put it through our safety tests, we found some serious flaws.
For starters, when the stroller is fully reclined, it poses a head entrapment risk. This means there's a chance a young baby could get their head caught in the hood or even fall out of the stroller.
We also discovered that when the stroller is fully loaded, the wheels can still move even when the parking brake is engaged. This is another significant safety issue.
Sadly, the Babyzen Yoyo2 didn't pass either our safety tests or the mandatory safety standards in our lab tests, so we cannot recommend it for purchase.
Babyzen Responds
Babyzen disagrees with our findings, sharing third-party lab reports showing that their stroller meets both the mandatory and voluntary safety standards. They claim the stroller's seat doesn't recline enough for the head entrapment or fall test to apply, but we stand by our results.
Here's what Babyzen had to say about our concerns:
"The safety and well-being of babies and children using our products is our top priority. Our products meet all mandatory safety standards and regulations. We also aim to meet or exceed voluntary safety standards where applicable. We are committed to continuously improving and testing our products to ensure they uphold these high safety standards."
To their credit, Babyzen has worked with us to re-test the Yoyo2 based on our feedback and is exploring ways to improve its design to enhance safety.
