When the future is electric, does it really make sense to pour resources into internal combustion engines?
Ford has made it clear—they’re betting big on EVs. From the Mustang Mach-E to the all-electric F-150 Lightning, Ford is shifting its engineering focus to batteries, software, and drive units.
And here’s the thing: electric motors don’t vary that much from one model to the next. You don’t need five versions of a “performance” electric motor. Once you’ve got one that works, you scale it across multiple vehicles. No need for engine labs full of prototypes and dyno tests.
